Golden Turmeric & Ginger Tea



Why it matters:

Warm and soothing, this drink uses turmeric and ginger: two compounds known for their anti-inflammatory, digestion-calming effects. 


Ingredients (serves 2):

• 2 cups water

• 1 tsp ground turmeric (or 1 tbsp fresh grated)

• 1 tsp freshly grated ginger

• Pinch of black pepper (improves turmeric absorption)

• Optional: honey or maple syrup to taste

• Optional: lemon slice

Method:

Bring water to a simmer in a small pot.

Add turmeric, ginger, and black pepper.

Simmer gently 5–10 minutes.

Strain into cups.

Sweeten lightly with honey/maple and add lemon if desired.
